<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> Hello Everyone: A few weeks back I ended my second experience with DAPSONE, which apparently caused the new red blood cells to divide - hence, stopped immediately. Have to wait until end of this week for further blood test, and assuming red blood cells are back to normal, it is proposed to start using SULFAPYRADENE, which I gather is one of the original sulfa drugs from the 1940's, prior to penicillin. SULFAPYRADENE has to be specially obtained by consultant through large teaching hospital in Cambridge England, and some kind of permission from a medical authority has to be given to use it. Has anyone gone thus route, and any side effects from it ???? Currently just using DiproBase emollient cream and getting what sleep I can. Shoulders, back, butt, one knee and both arms covered in violent red blotches, as well as throat. Throat now has large J & J pad on it to soak up liquids being excreted through the skin on the throat. Rest of me didn't reach that point (fortunately) but does require copious use of DiproBase. Any suggestions gratefully received. John Butcher
