<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> Wow! There are a lot of Chebe bread eaters out there. Only 1 person didn't like the bread and one didn't get her bread to rise, but liked it anyway. Everyone else loves it! As for how many and what size eggs to use? Most go ahead and use 2 large eggs. Then they add the water gradually until they get the right consistency. One person used the 2 large eggs and the full amount of water and got good results anyway. Other responses: Use one XL egg; use 1 large egg; mix up 2 eggs and use only 3/4 of it and adjust the water; use 1 or 2--they both work! The Chebe bread manufacturer also responded: "No, you do not need to use small eggs. On the other hand, I wouldn't suggest the jumbo size either. Remember, Chebe Bread is quite versatile. Try to imagine a flavor that would go well with Chebe Bread and you can probably add it to the dough while mixing. You can also try different shredded cheeses. So, imagine a Mexican cheese blend (available in most cheese aisles) and jalapeno peppers! Or, my personal favorite, an Italian cheese blend with chopped olives and oregano! You may even omit the cheese altogether. (Try substituting the cheese for sugar and cinnamon to make a sweet roll.) You will surely be able to imagine combinations not yet tried before. We encourage you to let your creativity soar! We would also like to pass on to you a preparation method slightly different than what is on the package. It should give you a roll that has a little more crunch on the outside and lighter texture inside. Of course, you may add your favorite ingredients if you choose. Here it is: TO PREPARE: Set oven to 375 F. 1. With a spoon blend mix in a bowl with 1/2 C (or to taste) shredded cheese, (e.g. parmesan), 2 eggs and1/3 C water. 2. Mix well with hands for 5 min. or until very smooth and well blended. (Add a little water if too dry; add cheese if too sticky.) 3. Roll into 24 balls or sticks, place on ungreased baking sheet, bake for 25 min. Serve warm. HINTS: *Place dough balls on a tray and freeze for 1 hr; then freeze in a plastic bag for up to 30 days. To serve, place them on an ungreased pan in a preheated 375 F oven for 30 min. *For pizza, flatten out dough and bake at 375 F for 15 min.; add toppings and bake until heated. We suggest that you print this message and keep it with your Chebe Bread mix so that you may refer to it the next time you bake it." -- Caroline
