TTYL The datasets used internally are larger than the 128K cache that the Celeron's have, so it goes to main memory a lot. So main memory performance will have a significant impact. Running main memory as fast as possible (CAS time), and the chipset type (Intel BX is reportedly faster than the VIA chipset) will determine performance to a degree. A Coppermine processor will beat out a Celeron because of its larger L2 cache. A P-II may or may not, because its cache, while larger, runs at half the CPU speed, whereas the Celeron and Coppermine processors L2 run at the CPU speed. -- Russ Poffenberger Engineering Specialist Schlumberger Technologies ATE DOMAIN: [log in to unmask] 1601 Technology Drive San Jose, Ca. 95110 Voice: (408)437-5254 FAX: (408)437-5246 PCBUILD maintains hundreds of useful files for download visit our download web page at: http://nospin.com/pc/files.html
