I would not like to put my foot in my mouth nor would I like to have my head in the sand(laugh) but I will do injustices to my big brother Sallah and even betray my own conscience if I do not forward these questions to brother Sallah, these questions have been ringing and rolling in my head and ears. Guess I will be on the safe footing if I believes that brother Sallah is doubtlessly a Gambian political STATESMAN and one of the highly exposed (internationally)Gambian politician with an intellectual ability. A position or privilege he have achieved or gained after Jammeh`s 1994 military coup detat.(1) Brother Sallah, why do you think that you have achieved such a political statesmanship (international exposure etc) in Jammeh`s but not in Jawara`s era ? Do you think that the Gambian people sees any differences in your political role under Jawara vis a vis Jammeh´s regime? What do you think of the interpretations if there is a different in the role or the stausquo ? (2) Hence you are one of the oldest (not by age) politician whose party is not ban, what then do you think is the causes for your defeats in the last general elections(1996)? Is it because that Gambians are too backward to understand your positions, ideas and political messages ? Or has it some thing to do with your personality ? (3) Do you think your Serrekunda voters inparticular and the Gambians in general clearly understood your positions or relationship with Jammeh,Jammeh´s Afprc government and the transitional period ? Is it true that you once lamented that you will not stand as a candidate again if you lost the 1996 elections ? Are you going to contest in the next elections if conditions permits ? (4)My dear brother Halifa, though wards and the meanings are said to be betterly define by the one who use it(author) but guess there is a general understanding of a ward ´democracy`.Hence ´democracy´is the order of the day,I therefore raise the following questions.(a) Whom do you think is more democrat-Jawara or Jammeh ? (b)Which of the two regime-Jawara´s or Jammeh´s- is lesser democrat ?(5) Have you ever make a political mistake and acknowledge it privately or publicly ? Have your party ever make any political mistake before ? (6) Do you think that your political messages reach to the majority of the Gambian people with understanding ? As a profound Gambian intellectual with a sound analytical tutorial methodology and uniqueness, don´t you think that you can serve the Gambian people effectively if you happen to be a lecturer at the institute of learning ? Well, who ever voluntary wants to put herself/himself in the political service of the people must also have the endurance for the stupid questions raise by stupid people like my self.I beg your forgiveness if my questions are in anyway boring or offensive as that is not the purpose. However I cannot help to raised them and certainly its is a portray of a stupid and simple mind. Thank you in advance. I truly hope that the questions and criticism you have been facing will be an other source of correct reflection and make you strong to clarify your positions-(if need be)-to the gambian people so that "Jammeh´s transitional period" will not be a ghost in your political career.
