I have a HP 8180 and have upgraded the memory; but now the computer is
unable to start in safe mode. It produces an inexplicable message (to me)
stating: "Himem.sys has detected unreliable XMS memory at address
********** (which changes). XMS driver not installed." I have a related
difficulty (perhaps) with my monitor blanking out in mid program (any
program or app.) When the monitor blanks out it produces a message: "Are pc
settings correct ?" Can anybody explain why this is happening ? thanks.
