I'll change the subject gladly.

My son Michael just got a Baclafen pump installed and he is gone from being
a 70 pound board to a 70 pound beanie baby in just one week. We are
thrilled with the results of the surgery and have good hopes of positive
results with therapy.

Here's my questions:
1) Any suggestions for devices to lift him out of bed or out of his chair or
vice versa?

2) We haven't learned from the therapists what kind of strengthening
exercises he is going to need. For those of you who have this, what kind of
exercises can parents do at home outside the therapy sessions that would
help him develop strength in the various muscles he needs to develop?

3) Any other suggestions or warnings I need to be aware of? Any comments
that would be helpful to us as parents?

Remember that the Ark was built by amateurs and the Titanic was built by
professionals.

If man evolved from monkeys and apes, why do we still have
monkeys and apes?

People,
I think this mailinglist is slowly degrading to one where only the
technical messages are exchanged. I have seen just too many repetitions of
the same; individual good intentions and views on how to unsubscribe that
all get close to what one really should do, yet don't work.

SJUVM isn't even on the internet anymore, that's for about two years
already. Please, all unsub-requests to my personal e-mail, not to the
list.

If one wants to express care and help on another, please keep that on the
topic of CP.
