If you are interested in databases, the following resource is a goldmine
(and even if you aren't wouldn't it be great to actually understand what
your tech people are saying from time to time?)

Database Central
http://baobabcomputing.com/databasecentral/index.shtml

This is a collection of database resources maintained and regularly
updated by Baobab Computing. There are currently over 4,000 database resources catalogued here, including discussion lists, consultants, books,
articles, publications, technical papers, tips, software, tutorials.
There is even a category for developing Internet databases as well. A
search engine helps you navigate through all the material here. The
group even hosts free web space for folks who want to show off their
database resources and know-how.
