Hi there!
Maybe somebody on here knows the magic keystroke(s). I'm lost.
Two years ago, I was very excited when I read in the BRAILLE MONITOR of
CDnow.com, an internet music store. Periodically, I have enjoyed visiting
the store via Tenet, to look up information concerning old favorite songs.
Yesterday, I sought to visit the site again to find out if an old tune
from the early 1980s is still available anywhere. I tried accessing the
site via telnet. Low and behold, I found out that they have closed off
the Telnet store, and the only way to visit the store is through the Web.
Sure that the management of this site is committed to accessibility, I
figured, "Okay, they probably have this set up to work with Lynx." I
visited the site, and selected the "text mode." I keep going aroundin a
circle, finding it extremely cumbersome to do a simple search that I could
do on the Telnet site within seconds. I sent the management of the site
an E-mail, explaining how I am trying to access the site. I followed the
woman's directions, and got just a little bit farther. There is a crooked
form you have to fill out, which does not seem to work with Lynx.
From the letter that Laurie (the site manager) sent me, I suspect that she
does not totally understand 100% of what she is dealing with. I'm
forwarding her response to the list.
If anybody happens to visit this web page and use Lynx, Please, Please
E-mail me and tell me how to navigate around.
