This sounds like its in shuffle mode.  In the top left corner of the player
is a very small icon.  Click the icon and it will open a menu, go down that
menu, slide down that menu to options and another menu will pop up.  See if
the "Shuffle" item is checked.  If it is, remove the check mark by clicking
it again.  If not, leave it blank.
