I am using ie8 and windows xp and window eyes 7.2.    As indicated in my 
earlier message in which I forgot to say what version of windows I'm using, 
I have managed to delete I presume the icon for internet explorer from the 
desktop; I can access it via start menu and programs but I'd like to get the 
icon back on the desktop.  I do need pretty detailed instructions.  Thanks; 
sorry about the second post but I thought I should mention my windows 
version.  Thanks again.
