Hi All,

In reading an article in today's New York times, I noticed mention of a
company called WizeUp.  The company sells electronic versions of college
textbooks.

The web site, which can be found at <http://www.wizeup.com> is not a model
of web accessibility.  However, after navigating the maze of options
necessary just to get a sample of a book (you must create an account and
download a couple programs) the company seems worth exploring.

I have not fully tested the reader software necessary for viewing the text
with multiple screen readers.  I did experiment for about 30 minutes with
Jaws for Windows and was able to read all the text in the book.

Toolbars and such in the reader program had graphics that required labels be
attached.  But at least such was possible because often it isn't.

I'm not sure how many books this company has just yet.  It is a possible
resource and I'd be interested to hear about similar resources and
experiences.
