Hi Anna,

I used Audacity to convert my file from .wav to .mp3. Audacity is free and
accessible. Converting the file is the only thing I have tried with it so
far, and that was easy once I installed the Lame encoder. I am anxious to
play with it more.

Subject: [VICUG-L] Switch File Converter

Switch lets you convert sound files to various formats. There's a free
version and a paid version. The free one is enough for my needs. The link is

http://www.nch.com.au/switch/index.html

I've used the PC version, which works well with Jaws. The software itself is

easy to use. the trick is to press ctrl+whatever other key. For example, if
you're supposed to press C to convert, press ctrl+c instead. To select a
file from a list, press ctrl+space, not just space.

It's possible that this has been corrected, so play around with it.
