Morey,
windows 98 is promoted as being more stable.  I have found that
only marginally true.

There is more and more software out there that won't work on w95.
An important example is IBM home page reader.

If you're happy with the current setup you  have and don't care to
keep up with the "jones's." until you absolutely must, then
remember a real world saying.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Despite popular myths, you may not need the latest and greatest
of everything unless an employeer or agency or some other hostile
entity demands it.

However W98 does have more built in support for different
hardware, and again, more and more new software will demand at
least 98.  Sometime we all are forced to upgrade, but I never
reccommend hurting your self unless you have too.
