Meeting Focus: Access to Technology in the Workplace: 2 Personal
Perspectives, followed by an open floor.

This emessage is divided into 3 parts:
Part 1: About VICUG NYC's April 2000 Meeting
Part 2: About VICUG NYC's General Membership Meetings
Part 3: Upcoming Meeting Dates for 2000

Part 1: About VICUG NYC's April 2000 Meeting

VICUG NYC's next General Membership Meeting will be held in the Auditorium
of Selis Manor on Tuesday, April Eleventh, from 6 to 7:30 pm.

The main focus of the April Eleventh meeting will be 2 personal
perspectives on access to technology in the workplace. Vivien Yacu and
David Brandt will describe the technology they use -- and the access
problems they have encountered -- on the job. Their presentation will be
followed by an "open floor" discussion about on-the-job access problems
and (hopefully) solutions. Remember that VICUG NYC's "open floor" is
YOUR opportunity to ask -- and, answer -- any question about computers,
with a special focus on the night's topic: access to technology in the
workplace.

Vivien and David's presentation will be preceded by a review of the new
technologies and toys encountered by members who attended CSUN 2000.
Vita Zavoli and Jay Leventhal will lead the discussion, and welcome
participation by anyone else who was there.

Membership dues for Y2K will be collected by VICUG NYC's Treasurer, Vita
Zavoli, at the April Eleventh meeting. Dues are a mere twelve dollars,
and endow you with the right to hold office, the right to vote, and a
clear conscience. If you plan on paying in cash, please bring exact
change! Thanks to all who paid at the December, January, February and
March meetings.
