Physical business cards are still quite common. When I go to attorneys
offices, doctors offices, and other such places to interpret, people ask
for my business card quite often. Sometimes they want to include it in
the specific file I worked on, stapling it to a hard copy of the
paperwork associated with my participation. Other times they want it for
their records, so they know who to call if the regular interpreter is
unavailable.

In fact, when I contract with language services agencies, they routinely
send me a few cards to hand out if the client requests it. They do send
me some vCards, but they send me physical cards as well.
