Data is never really completely deleted from your computer. It is moved
from it's original location and is written over many times. The whole
file isn't written over completely and that is why there is software out
there that can retrieve lost data. There are also programs out there
that will rewrite the file you want to delete several times making it
difficult to retrieve the file.
