My year will be up soon on this computer. My question
is what happens after a year. The library I work at purchased the software,
and is loaded. Does the library have to resubscribe to get the updates?
Does it cost?

Hi, Angel. i am not sure what is up, but I know the free virus def are
suppose to last up to one year.
I just downloaded the latest virus def for Norton 2K and I had no problems
retrieving them.
As to your question the program updates are far less of concern than the
virus deffenitions. You need the virus deffenitions updated at least once a
month or you are going to get nailed by a virus.
I should know I have captured three virus's in the past couple of months,
and luckily Norton stopped them before they could infect my machine.

> I was the one who sent one of those first messages concerning confusion
regarding virus updates. I have Norton 2000 on my system. I tried to
update it without paying for 2001 a few days ago. I was told it would
update, but would not give me the virus deffinitions. My question is: Am I
now current regarding my protection status without the deffinitions? Can I
continue to update without the deffinitions?
