This is inaccurate. A refrigerator is a huge consumer of electricity a
computer is not. Most if not all of the newest computers, hard drives,
printers and monitors have power saving features that shift down to a near
no power consumption mode when they are not used for a specified period of
time. A refrigerator has a large motor for the compressor a computer does
not, just small cooling fans, drives and electronics.
