Joe is corrrect, with a highly directional antenna on the
invading equipment, you may well be able to find signals  that
you didn't think were "getting out."

Remember that anything "wireless" is inherently snoopable.  I
remember a claimed demonstration done by Ray Kursweil years ago
wherein he stood outside an office building with specialized
equipment and read info from the monitors of computers in that
building.  This may be a bit exagerated,because old fashioned
monitors weren't designed to be redio transmitters, but wireless
networks are intended to transmit and recieve, so if you have a
sensative receiver and a directional antenna, you can increase
ranges and the ability to grab signals dramatically.

The microwave frequencies used by networks and cell phones etc.
are sneaky and not entirely predictable, the word "never" is a
non-starter.

Here, a little paranoia is a good thing.
