Welcome to a new issue of the Speaking Clock Newsletter. This issue includes
information about newly released updates for Speaking Clock Deluxe and
Multilingual Speaking Clock. There is also some important information on
languages, so please read it in full.

NEW VERSION OF SPEAKING CLOCK DELUXE!
Version 3.5 of Speaking Clock Deluxe is now available. This version offers
the following changes and improvements:

a.. A new graphics subsystem, improves compatibility with some video
cards, and resolves a few other annoying display issues.

b.. New handling of language files, all language files now come with a
mini-installer that automates the whole process.

c.. New time synchronization engine which uses the NTP protocol. This is a
more modern and exact protocol. There is also a schedule option for time
synchronizations.

d.. The settings dialog has changed completely, it's now divided into
logical groups to make it easier to find the settings for each function. Due
to this, some settings have moved to a more logical place.

e.. A transparency option for the display has been added, this only works
on Windows 2000/XP.
f.. New timer options: A timer or stopwatch can now announce the time
left/time elapsed (in English).

g.. A timer can be started from an alarm, using the default start time and
settings.

h.. The analog tray icon face now shows the time!

i.. The tray icon and taskbar code have been improved for better
compatibility with Windows XP.

j.. The help file is now in HTML format.

Click here to download it now! If you are a registered user, your current
license code will still work. We recommend all users to upgrade to this
version, especially if you are running Windows XP.

NEW LANGUAGE INSTALLER INCLUDED WITH ALL LANGUAGES!
Through the years the top support question have always been "how do I add a
new language?". To make life easier for Speaking Clock users, we have now
(finally) created an installer that automatically installs the new language
in the correct directory. It also checks that you have the correct version,
and tells you if an update is neccessary.
All language files now comes in a EXE file format, just download the file
and double-click it to automatically install your new language.

IMPORTANT NOTICE ON LANGUAGE DOWNLOADS!
All language downloads are temporarily unavailable. The reasons for this
are:

a.. All language files needs to be updated to the new format, this will
take some time.
b.. Users that wants to add new languages need to update their clock
software first, as the new language files will not work with older versions
of the clocks.

We hope to have all language downloads online not later than March 9th, we
are sorry for the inconvenience. If you want to add languages to your clock,
please make sure you update your clock software first.

DEVELOPMENTS
During the spring we plan to release smaller updates to Speaking Clock
Deluxe, where we will add features that have been requested by users.
Version 4.0 is the next big release, where we finally hope to introduce a
more flexible skin handling. You will be informed through this newsletter
about the progress!

The very best regards,

Leif Almgren
