I'm with Dorene.
Why not something like the little Sony VIO that only weighs 2.3 pounds with all the power of a big laptop.

My first total kneejerk reaction to this question is to say why get a device
you have to attach a keyboard to when there are plenty of laptops / notebook
computers that are price-competitive at least that already have keyboards, run
Windows, have sound cards and earphone jacks...?

Plus, I actually do not use speech, but I do need all the screen I can get.
If I have a choice between a tablet and a device with even a modestly larger
screen, guess which I would prefer.

And the more important challenge might be to ensure the accessibility of
things like any course-related groupware you intend to use.

Dorene Cornwell.

Hello Keith,

This depends on the tablet PC being used; those that do not have a
physical keyboard or the ability to attach a physical keyboard and just
use the virtual on-screen keyboard are not going to be fully accessible.
