Guiding Eyes for the Blind
Information Technology Director


The IT Director will have overall responsibility for planning,
implementation and management of Company-wide information systems and for
integrating those systems in an efficient and organized manner in keeping
with overall Company strategies. Responsible for the day-to-day operation of
all IT related equipment and functions maintaining the network to ensure
maximum access to users, both on site and remote, with a minimum of
disruption. The Director will also have the ability to "roll up one's
sleeves" and assist IT personnel in the daily support of desktops and
servers.


Qualifications:

* 5+ years of increasingly complex management experience including user
support, project management, system analysis and development.
Not-for-profit a plus.

* Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills.

* Minimum requirement of Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or
comparable professional experience. Advanced degree or technical
certifications a plus.  

* Proven, hands on experience with desktop and network applications (Windows
XP and Vista, Microsoft Office), database management systems (SQL Server, MS
Access) etc.

* Ability to manage a server environment containing Windows 2003 Servers
running Active Directory, Exchange 2003, and ISA Server.

* Understanding of networking switches, routers and firewalls, particularly
Cisco and Juniper Networks products.

* Knowledge of networked application products such as Great Plains and Donor
Perfect and how they are deployed.

* Understanding of telephony and voicemail.
