Re Mark Senk's request for linux and emacspeak in the lending library.

I've been checking on this on the blinux list, as those of you on that list
know. BTW, the list is described at http://leb.net/blinux/blinux-list.html
. Bottom line is we plan to make one or more setups available for loan in
Pennsylvania (or lending library is only funded for pennsylvania). Plus,
any support materials we have will be availble everywhere of course. It will
take a while to put it together. I don't have a timetable yet.

If you're not presently a linux user, but think you'll want to try it,
please email me so we can guage interest. Please include whether you're a
resident of pennsylvania, but respond even if you're not a resident here,
because we also try to do things that have national impact.

The interest people show will help determine the priority this gets
relative to other projects. Since it's not available as a turn-key system
as far as I know, it will take some more work than the usual loan item.

As to whether similar loan programs are available in other states. You can
find that out by contacting your local "Tech Act" project, listed at
http://www.resna.org/state_web.html

Meanwhile, if you have an old 486 don't throw it away yet! You may want to
use it for Linux <grin>.
