Unfortunately, the closest group is in New York city. However, if you wish
to start a group in your area, we are here to help.

In the last few years, much mutual aid and support is now virtual, even in
big cities like Chicago where I live. Check out some of the great programs
Chicago people have done online at

www.talkingcommunities.com/edu

Also, check out the online communities Audio tips, for the People, and Pal
Talk. There are many e-mail lists that one can join and podcasts that blind
people produce and share their expertise. In the last week alone, I
listened to a demonstration of the software program NoteTab Pro, the IRiver
899, a new cell phone from Verizon Wireless, a review and demonstration of
the Mobile Speak cell phone software, and learned from a lead GW Micro
developer about the new features in the latest version of Window eyes.

today, the world can be your vicug.

Kelly
