I suspect that your Interface language got set to something other than English or default,. Do this:
1. Press NVDA+n
2. Press p
3. Press g
4. Press the end key arrow in the first combo box in the resulting dialog. It's the language combo box. It's the first thing that you're focused on when the dialog box comes up.
5. Press enter
6. It should be now set up for your default language.
