Just in case others missed this, Ana was talking about the touchpad and not the touchscreen. -- Christopher (AKA CJ) Chaltain at Outlook -----Original Message----- From: Visually Impaired Computer Users' Group List <[log in to unmask]> On Behalf Of Gary Melconian Sent: Sunday, January 23, 2022 9:52 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: Re: [VICUG-L] Narrator and the Touchpad Yes I can use the touch screen with narrator but my laptop is a hp envy 17 inch laptop with windows 11 pro . -----Original Message----- From: Visually Impaired Computer Users' Group List <[log in to unmask]> On Behalf Of Ana G Sent: Sunday, January 23, 2022 5:30 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: [VICUG-L] Narrator and the Touchpad Hi All, Albert's reply to my previous post reminded me of another question. This goes out to those of you who use Narrator on Laptops. Are you able to use the touchpad with Narrator? In earlier versions of Narrator, the touchpad didn't work with Narrator. This has been the case for so long that I stopped checking. While experimenting with my new tablet, which is running one of the Windows 10 versions from last year, I noticed that the touchpad seems to work. My results are more hit than miss, but not quite consistent yet. I'm not sure whether the problem is that implementation is imperfect or that I just need more time to learn the commands and get a feel for how to interact with it. What experiences with the touchpad and recent versions of Narrator have others had here? Ciao VICUG-L is the Visually Impaired Computer User Group List.
