in internet explorer, you can go into advanced internet options and down
to the multimedia section and disable audio playing.

_Dear Listers,

_I need help with a rather perplexing problem. When I enter certain
_websites, music begins to play and the song continually repeats itself as
_long as one is visiting the site. The end result is usually that it causes
_my computer to freeze up. It is particularly bothersom on a message board
_I am trying to access because I get locked up in the middle of typing a
_message.
_
_Does anyone know how to resolve this problem? It doesn't seem to matter
_whether I use netscape or internet explorer.
_
_Thanks in advance
