the list on which this discussion began, I appologize for the

We should probably publish all kinds of stuff like this.

Subject: Re: K1K and Braille displays

A brief examination of the manual, and other supportive documentation
will yield the understanding that K1000 itself,
does not directly support braille displays, rather it has Display modes
designed to make it easier to use K1000 with the
braille display drivers used by manufacturers of screen readers, who's
speech you've silenced while in K1000.
Therefore, the problem becomes one of configuring the screen reader's
configuration running to work appropriately with
the driver's you are using to support the braille display which are
provided by the manufacturers of your screen reader,
and the built-in capabilities of the braille display and how well they
can be integrated with the afore mentioned hardware
and software... (deep breath)

I for one would be eager to hear of appropriate suggestions for settings
to be used with HAL, JFW and WinEyes that
people are using to optimize the efficacy of the use of their various
braille displays with K1000. In particular, as a selfish
individual, I'd like to have suggestions concerning use of those screen
readers with the Braille Note.
