Just a couple of comments on quoting and forwarding...
I don't mind quoting in an email message if the person clearly sets aside
the quote refferenced.  The problem comes when a person intersperses quotes
with original text with out any breaks.

The thing I find most irritating is when a person comments on a message,
and their new comments follow the entire original message.  It is a simple
matter to set the cursor to the top of the original message and place ones
comments before the old message.  Or better yet, delete the old message
entirely.  This is faster than turning on and off the feature on the fly.

A feature in Eudora which I really like is the ability to "redirect" an
email rather than "forward" it.  Redirecting has the advantage of removing
a large part of the extranious header information which one usually doesn't
need, and it also does not put in those irritating greater than symbols.

A trick I have learned to minimize having to re-read the same note over and
over again from people who leave the original messages on their email, is I
start at the end of the download list and work up.  I have found that I can
surmise the original comment easily, or even read it on that last note, and
that way I can quickly skim and delete the previous notes in the thread.
