Mike,

thanks for the reference. I could only find streaming versions of the
shows, which require someone to be sitting at their computer to listen. Are
the shows available so someone doesn't have to listen at their computer
hooked to the Internet, such as with a download or Podcast?

Kelly

>> with Joyce Bender
>>
>> PITTSBURGH, PA - Tim Flynn, Executive Director of Shake-A-Leg Inc., will
>> be featured with Joyce Bender on "Disability Matters" on Tuesday, August
>> 9, 2005 from 2 PM to 3 PM eastern time. Shake-A-Leg, Inc. is a
>> non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization founded in 1982 to serve
>> people with disabilities, with an emphasis placed on spinal cord and
>> related nervous system impairments. Since this time, Shake-A-Leg has
>> improved the lives of thousands of people through multi-faceted therapy
>> programs that focus on improving the mind, body and spirit.
>>
>> Mr. Flynn was not a stranger to Shake-A-Leg, Inc., when he was recently
>> named as its Executive Director. From 1987 to 1992, he served as a
>> grant writer and program manager for the organization.
>>
>> Before becoming Executive Director of Shake-A-Leg, Inc., from 2002 to
>> 2004 Tim worked for the Parri Independent Living Center in Rhode Island.
>> While there he oversaw the personal care of 35 clients and coordinated
>> attendant care services for the community at large.
>>
>> In 1998, Mr. Flynn maintained a website We Media.com which was designed
>> to be a "one stop shop" for people with disabilities to get information.
>> After the .com industry collapsed, he moved onto a more lucrative
>> opportunity. From 1992 to 1995, Tim was a lobbyist for the Manocherian
>> Foundation for Traffic Safety in New York City. While with this group,
>> Tim lobbied for a ban on all alcohol advertising for federally licensed
>> airways. He was involved in grass roots campaigning to ban such
>> advertising and work with prominent groups such as Mothers Against Drunk
>> Driving.
>>
>> The host of Disability Matters, Joyce A. Bender, is President and CEO of
>> Bender Consulting Services, Inc. (BCS) and its "sister company" Bender
>> Consulting Services of Canada, Inc. (BCSC). BCS provides competitive
>> employment opportunities for Americans with disabilities in the areas of
>> information technology, engineering, finance/accounting, human resources
>> and general business. In 1985, Joyce had a life-threatening accident
>> due to epilepsy, which caused an intracranial hemorrhage that required
>> subsequent brain surgery. Against all odds, Joyce recovered from this
>> accident that left her with a 60 percent hearing loss in one ear and a
>> realization that she had epilepsy. As a result of her personal
>> experience, she developed a passion for helping people with disabilities
>> and founded both companies. Ms. Bender is the recipient of the 2003 New
>> Freedom Initiative Award from the Bush Administration, as well as the
>> 1999 President's Award from President Clinton.
