Hi Arianna,
I have no direct experience with this, but the LT requires some
fancy hardware handshaking settings so that it can responde
properly.

Check the USB to serial cable software and see if they have any
settings for hardware handshaking.  If so turn on everything
they've got.

Otherwise call RC systems and they'll
probably know about particular USB to serial adapters which work
withthe doubletalk  LT.
