Petter. Most host's offer free domain registration now so you can have your domain registered and hosted by the same company. You can choose many pay options but the most reasonable are those that offer two year agreements. Unfortunately you have to pay two years inadvance to take advantage of low prices.
The things to look for in a host are most importantly tech support. Try to find a company that offers 24/7 phone tech support. All offer email tech support but call in tech support is the best. Also look for a company that is located in the USA. You also want a host that has a reliable email server and one that offers you several email addresses. You want a host that is going to allow allot of storage space but more importantly more bandwidth since you are looking at an online store. Most offer shopping carts and as of late blogging software free. You also want a host that offers both Linux and windows plans. Linux is always cheaper but will not allow you to use certain windows applications. Windows on the other hand limits some fuctions only found with a linux plan. I used both and found that a Linux plan offered me more of what I wanted.
Here is a web site that offers a comparison of different hosting services: http://www.thehostingchart.com/?qiii=1&gjrdm=12011&gclid=CJXRmvns04gCFRZXFQodyw5neQ
You can also do a search for 'hosts' 'webhosting' etc. and get more info.
