Over the years, I have found Google Alerts to be an invaluable tool.
Not only do I use them for keeping on top of particular news goings on, 
but it also has given me the chance to discover new columnists, blogs, and 
other means of learning more on something.
Alerts can also be set to be delivered in realtime rather than on a daily 
basis.

It does take some trial and error, upon occasion, in creating alerts so 
that you get what you want without either overloading yourself or missing 
things.

It's a great clipping service.
