I have a Natural 4,000 Ergonomic keyboard (not wireless), with the same
peculiarity. It's got a thirteenth function key, which locks and unlocks the
other function keys. I've never been quite sure why this would be desirable
except that, when I slide my keyboard tray in, the function keys are
sometimes depressed by a lip or overhang that's on the front of my desk.
Maybe some people tend to accidentally push their keyboard trays in, like
when they reach forward to answer the phone, and this is a feature they
want?

I have also run into an issue with my wireless keyboard whereby I have
accidently pressed a key in the top right-hand corner of the keyboard that
seems to turn off the Function keys. I don't quite know why that would be
necessary, and I've not seen it on any other keyboard.
