Go to add or remove programs in Control panel and uninstall it that way.
You'll see an entry for Winamp Remote towards the bottom of the list of
programs. I successfully got rid of Winamp Remote by that means.
Amazingly, it's 33 megabytes in size.

Subject: [VICUG-L] error message, "cannot delete file", how can I delete
this file!
Hi all,
Harry here, and I've had it up to here with winamp remote.
I want to delete it but when I go to program files, hit w for winamp then
down arrow to winamp remote and try to delete it, I get this message.
"Error Deleting File or Folder
Cannot delete Cab: Access is denied.
Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected
and that the file is not currently in use.
OK button"
So, I went to google and found this awesome info.
"go to my computer and hit enter, then, arrow to local disk c, then hit alt
t for tools, then go to folder options and hit enter, then, go to the view
tab, then tab down to the list which is a tree view.
Go down the list all the way till you come to "use simple file sharing
(recommended), and uncheck that."
Here's the problem folks, I got to that list, and there is no "use simple
file sharing, (recommended)."
How in the heck do I delete this file? Everytime my computer starts and I
get to the desktop, that darn winamp remote is there.
Harry
