Good afternoon Harry. Why has it taken this long, for Microsoft to make their browser accessible for those of us that use screen reading technology. They certainly made sure to release to the general public for them too be able too use it, but it seems that after almost two years since they released windows 10, now their starting too make it possible for companies that make screen readers to get it too work so that we can use it. They should have made more of an effort by now, too have accessibility built in before it was released too the general public from the get go.

Subject: [VICUG-L] an update on Microsoft Edge and favorites

Hi all,

Well, for the heck of it, I tried NVDA, and, Narrator, and they also do not let you use 1st letter navigation.

Here's what I did. After starting each screen reader, I clicked on Microsoft Edge, then, I shift tabbed up to favorites and hit enter.
Then, I down arrowed to favorites imported from internet explorer, and hit enter.

Then, I tried 1st letter navigation, and it would not work with either screen reader.

So, there's the latest, looks like we'll all have to wait till the new Windows 10 update, and, until all the screen readers are updated to support first letter, or multiple letter navigation.

Harry
