I am working with a student who is using a Sound Blaster Live card. When
she logs onto the Internet (she uses a dial-up connection), the modem sounds
not only emanate from the modem but from the sound card as well. This is
not a major problem but is somewhat distracting. I have gone into the
Volume Control (she is using Windows 98) and set online sounds to zero, but
the problem still persists. Any suggestions?
