Blink and bat are two rather derogatory terms which mean states or degrees
of blindness.  A blink is someone who notices when he/she blinks.  A bat is
someone who only has his/her hearing to rely on.

As with African-Amerjicans, it is only considered acceptable for a blind
person to refer to blinks or bats.
