Yes, works well, problem is, you need type the letters fast else you end up
in strange places.

Let's say I want to access a favourite called "Harry Brown" and this is the
only one beginning with "Harery" but I have another beginning with "Harold"
if I type h a r r y in about two seconds, I'll land on the one I desire, if
longer, h a r r, may land me on one beginning with r, this I don't want.

Therefore, typing must be achieved rapidly, say in about two seconds, unless
there is a setting to delay keys, perhaps the sticky keys setting might be
useful here.
