Hi all,
I am going to be purchasing a pentium 4 machine. It'll have a 2.8 gig processor in it.
I was told by a computer consultant that Windows 98SE will not accept more than 256 meg of ram, and won't run faster with more ram in it than 256 meg of ram, so he told me just to stick with 256 meg and not put any more in. My questions are:
1. Is this true? I wanted to put 1 gig of DDR ram in the computer.
2. Are any of you using windows 98SE with more than 256 meg of ram?
3. If you are, is your system running faster?
Let me know the answers to these questions. This will tell me how much more I need to save up.
take care,
Harry
