Hello Keith,

This depends on the tablet PC being used; those that do not have a
physical keyboard or the ability to attach a physical keyboard and just
use the virtual on-screen keyboard are not going to be fully accessible.
However generally speaking those Tablet PC's with a keyboard and using
an operating system that has screen readers/magnifiers available for it
should be generally accessible, this doesn't mean that all applications
software used on the Tablet PC will be.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Subject: Accessibility of Tablet PC's

Our university is thinking of requiring all students who are within
majors dealing with computer science, computer information systems, and
multimedia web design to use Tablet PC's. Does anyone on the list know
whether any Tablet PC's are accessible at this time, or whether efforts
are being made to make them accessible? Thanks.
