Apparently the question is not only related to Googlegroups. I believe that
Don't original message asked information about GMail accounts in general.
Unfortunately, don, GMail's smart processing seems to believe that if you
have your message stored in the "sent messages" folder, you don't need to
get a duplicate copy of the same message from the list to which you're
subscribed. In some ways I see the logic. When I first started using GMail
couple of years ago, I was a bit paranoid and thought that my messages
weren't getting through. But, apparently I have had no problem with any of
the lists to which I'm subscribed. I never see my messages come back and
have gotten quite comfortable with GMail's handling of my messages in that
way.

Subject: [VICUG-L] Email Groups using your google mail account:
The one problem I have using my Google mail account is that when I write to
a mail group I never see my post.
Is there something I need to change in my Google mail set-up so that I can?
Thanks.
