Depending on what you want to spend, you can find reasonable color and
black and white printers. Laser printers have dropped in cost so much that
it is now reasonable to get one for casual personal use. I have seen them
as low as $135 on special, and $199 regular street price from Samsung among
others.

If you accept a color printer of course, you can get very cheap
indeed. Personally, I still find the HP line the easiest to use. They
have one black cartridge, and one tricolor cartridge. They are easy to
change for a blind person, or anyone else, they still have buttons instead
of touch pads, and they can be had for about $80 to $100.
Lexmark and Epson have some very cheap models, but I find them harder to
use and more costly in ink cartridges. I believe it's the HP5000 series
which is the least expensive and most friendly. HP 5600, 5700, and 5800
printers are still around I believe.
