Operations Manager Sun Sounds
Sun Sounds of Arizona is seeking an Operations Manager for its radio reading
and information service network. 

TITLE: OPERATIONS MANAGER SUN SOUNDS 
GRADE: 14
JOB CODE: 9669
FLSA: EXEMPT
Starting Salary Range: $43,662 - $51,849 (depending on experience)

Job Summary
Manages the technical operations of Sun Sounds, a statewide radio reading
and information service consisting of three studio facilities and directly
administers broadcast operations for the headquarters facility in Tempe. 

Essential Functions
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
40% - Produces and operates live broadcasts for Sun Sounds
40% - Administers and programs broadcast and automation software; production
engineering and post production; administers webcasting services
20% - Trains and supervises operations staff; manages Tempe studio
facilities; provides technical training and support for broadcast talent

Minimum Qualifications
v	Experience using and programming broadcast automation software such
as NexGen, Audio Vault, Wire Ready etc.
v	Experience using broadcast equipment such as audio consoles, digital
recording equipment, microphones, and other production equipment.
v	College degree in Broadcasting or closely related area, and/or
equivalent experience in broadcast production and operations
v	Effective written communication skills


Desired Qualifications
v	Five or more years of experience in broadcast production, operations
and/or post production
v	Experience with multi-track mixing/production software such as Adobe
Audition, MultiQuence, Audacity or the like. (productions samples welcome)
v	Experience with web based streaming, podcasting etc.
v	Experience working in a radio reading/information service
environment
v	Experience teaching or training others in the use of broadcast and
production equipment
v	Experience in a supervisory capacity
v	Experience working in an environment with volunteers
v	Bachelor's Degree in broadcast production or management
v	Demonstrated experience with continuity writing as demonstrated by
writing sample

Special Working Conditions
Production and/or writing samples may be submitted to: MCCCD, 2411 W. 14th
Street, Tempe, AZ 85281; This position is on-call 24/7. May be required to
work occasional evenings and/or weekends; must be able to manipulate small
controls, audio equipment and computer connections and be able to bend down
or crawl into tight spaces; may be required to lift up to 30 lbs.

being hired.
