Subject: [newyork-l] Jaws Question

Dear List:

I know that this may be off topic. So, please do not hesitate to
contact me off the list. My facility recently installed a Javascript Server
1.4 application. When our IT department tried to use JAWS 4.51 to access
the program, it froze. Especially when they attempted to tab from field to
field. They said that when they unloaded JAWS that the application worked
just fine. They also say that the application is accessible using NARATOR
on a Windows XP operating system.

So here are my questions. Is there any way that JAWS can run with
applications developed in Javascript? Is NARATOR a good substitute for
JAWS? Why? Why not? I also use JAWS extensively in Microsoft Word. I
would appreciate your thoughts. My E-mail address is [log in to unmask]

Best wishes,
Mary Ellen
