Subject: Fwd: table sets in wineyes

Hi,

I have some news for people who use tables in word 9 for office 2000,
and
who use window-eyes.

I have created a modified version of the standard word 2000 window-eyes
set
file which will read tables correctly. I admit it is not perfect, but
it's
a work around.

Assuming you have created your table with the appropriate number of
columns
and rows, the user presses the grave accent key, situated to the
immediate
left of the figure 1 on the main keyboard. Window-eyes announces
"table
mode on".

When tabbing from column to column in the table, window-eyes announces
"next column", and then reads the information in the column, even if
the
wording overspills onto more than one line in the column.

When shift with tab is pressed, window-eyes announces "previous
column",
and then reads the text in the column.

When pressing down arrow, window-eyes announces "next row", then reads
the
entire row. Up arrow announces "previous row", and then the row
contents.

When outside a table, you must press the grave accent sign again to
return
to normal mode. Window-eyes announces "table mode off".

I have also made a small modification in word count, when alt t w is
pressed. Pressing insert with W at this point causes window-eyes to
announce the statistics in the word count screen.

If anyone really wants these modifications, please do let me know and I

will send you a zipped archive of them.

Brian
