FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

March 12, 2002

Window-Eyes Professional is released!

(Fort Wayne, IN) -- GW Micro, creator of Window-Eyes Standard and
Window-Eyes Professional, is proud to announce the release of Window-Eyes
Professional 4.2. Window-Eyes is a software screen reader for people who
are blind. Window-Eyes Professional supports Windows 95, 98, Me, 2000, XP
Home and XP Professional, which gives a person who is blind the power to
carry out complicated tasks with the ease of use previously enjoyed only by
the mouse user. By combining its friendly approach to Windows and new
features designed for Windows 2000 and XP, Window-Eyes Professional
provides excellent accessibility. Now with the multi-user and network
capabilities of Window-Eyes Professional each individual user can have his
or her own settings, as though they were running individual
copies. Control is in the hands of the system administrator and the user.

Window-Eyes Professional also offers features such as Grade 2 Braille
support for Braille displays, smart table mode allowing easier access to
tables in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0, enhanced support for America
Online 7.x creating easier navigation, and, through cooperation with Adobe
Systems, people who are blind can now read .PDF files and fill out
electronic forms with ease.

On March 4, 2002 Macromedia announced that by working with GW Micro their
new Flash Reader 6.0 makes web pages using flash accessible at long last.
"Macromedia is committed to making powerful products that push the promise
of the Internet forward without leaving anybody behind," said Bob Regan,
Product Manager, Accessibility, Macromedia. "GW Micro is a leader in
providing accessible solutions built on the MSAA standard, so they were an
obvious choice to ensure rich Macromedia Flash content and applications
were available to people who are blind."

"Microsoft is delighted to work so closely with GW Micro and to see
Window-Eyes Professional working with such a broad range of Microsoft
products," said Gary Moulton, Assistive Technology Vendor Relations Manager
with Microsoft Corp. "Together we will continue to strive to offer
assistive technology users the most up-to-date technology solutions available."

Clarence Whaley, Director of Sales and Marketing for GW Micro, stated, "The
efforts of GW Micro, Adobe Systems, Macromedia and Microsoft are impacting
the lives of those of us that are blind more than ever before. These
strategic relationships truly allow more people who are blind to enter the
workforce.

The Window-Eyes Professional software for Windows 95, 98, Me, 2000, Windows
XP Home and Professional Edition retail for $795.00, and is available for
purchase. This one size fits all pricing makes Window-Eyes Professional
the most affordable screen reader on the market. GW Micro is also pleased
to offer to their current owners of Window-Eyes Standard 4.11 a free
upgrade to Window-Eyes Standard 4.2. This is the second free upgrade to
Window-Eyes Standard in less than one year.

Doug Geoffray, co-owner of GW Micro says, "GW Micro has remained true to
its mission: to create the most stable, friendly and cost effective screen
reader available for Windows 2000 and XP. This can only be done by truly
listening to our users and working with main stream vendors such as
Microsoft, Adobe, Macromedia and many other companies."

Founded in 1990, GW Micro, a Fort Wayne, Indiana-based, assistive
technology company, is committed to producing the most reliable screen
reader available for people who are blind. Window-Eyes Professional allows
them to hear (with speech synthesis) and feel (via refreshable Braille
displays) the Microsoft Windows 95, 98, Me, 2000, Windows XP Home and
Windows XP Professional operating systems.
