Your computer might not have enough RAM,
256 is probably a minimum with XP and Jaws.
Open 'system' in control panel, the amount of RAM is listed near the bottom
of the 'general' tab (you will probably have to use the Jaws cursor to read
it).  Also, in 'system' > advanced tab press S for settings.  Is the adjust
for best performance radio button selected?  If not select it and press
apply and ok. (restart) See if that improves performance.  If not email me
and we can try other advanced performance settings.
