   I already replied to this but it belatedly occurred to me that you
might be referring to installed programs rather than just files. If so,
and if you are using Windows 95 or 98, you want to uninstall the
programs rather than just delete them. To do this, first check and make
sure that the installed program doesn't have its own UN-install icon.
This is usually listed in the programs own menu.  If not, in your "My
Computer" menu, There is a "Add/Remove Programs" icon in which you
select the program name and select Remove. If you try a lot of programs
that you end up uninstalling you might want to get one of the 3rd Party
uninstall programs like Quarterdeck's CleanSweep that may be easier to
use for uninstalling programs.
