Hi all,

Using windows 10, fall creators update, 1709, and jaws 18.0.4350.

My problem is, I have to record an audio tutorial on doing a check
ledger, and so I did a test recording. Folks, I have no audio. All I
hear is a hissing sound, and I know that hissing sound is the test
recording, but there's no audio there.

I have a feeling my microphone needs to be turned up, but when I go into
sound, then go into the recording tab, and I tab down 1 time, and I see
my USB microphone there, but there is no volume adjustment for the
microphone.

I also pressed insert f11 and went into the mixer, and all I see there
is, a volume control for speakers, and a volume control for jaws, but no
microphone recording level.

Anyone help me out on this?

If I cannot record on this computer any more, I'll have to buy a
separate recorder, which is going to cost a lot of money, we're talking
3 figures here, in the hundreds, and the company I would have to buy the
recorder from is not making them any more, after the shipment of
recorders sells out.

Harry
